Ricardo Izquierdo, M.D., Chicago, Oak Brook & Naperville Plastic Surgeon


									Dr. Ricardo Izquierdo has gained expertise in all aspects of Cosmetic Surgery over the last 23 years. He has strong interests in Facial Surgery (eyelid blepharoplasty surgery, rhinoplasty or nasal surgery, facelift and neck lift, brow lift), Breast Surgery (breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction), and Body Surgery (liposuction liposculpture, thigh lift, arm lift, abdominoplasty or tummy tuck). He continues to attend major seminars to stay on the cutting edge of his specialty. Dr. Izquierdo received his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and completed his MD at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He finished a five-year surgical residency and a three-year plastic surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center and was the first recipient of the John L. Keeley, MD Traveling Fellowship, which allowed him to travel and study in Canniesburn, Scotland and Melbourne, Australia, with some of the world's most respected plastic surgeons. Dr. Izquierdo continued his training with an additional one-year fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and returned to Chicago to be on the full-time faculty at Loyola University Medical Center. He is one of the most trusted, highly regarded, and skilled plastic surgeons in the Chicago area. His offices are in Oak Brook and Naperville. His aesthetic eye and skills in surgery combined with minimizing the extent of surgery, have given superior results over more then twenty years. He has authored over 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has published one book chapter. He also was awarded the Clinical Research Award by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Izquierdo has served on the Executive Board of the Wellness House, which provides psychosocial support for patients with cancer and their families and has been Chairman of the Program Committee. Dr. Izquierdo is board-certified in plastic surgery and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, the Midwest Association of Plastic Surgeons, the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
